Reference path

The reference path proves an I/O Mesh install on one machine before real traffic touches it. You load the example config file, sign and pin two cards, send decision requests on localhost, and stop the server. It needs no Docker and no outside service. The private release includes a script that runs it.

Who it is for

A platform engineer who wants a clear pass or fail on the install before wiring up a real harness.

The steps

  1. Generate the approver, harness owner, and auditor keys.
  2. Sign a harness score for each example card, then load the store.
  3. Sign a pin receipt for each card on the approver side, then pin it.
  4. Start the server on localhost and send three requests: one allow, one cross-department deny, and one child call.
  5. Stop the server. Shutdown signs a final heartbeat.

After it passes

Move to your own config file and your own OIDC issuer. A listener on the network needs TLS and OIDC both set.
